Vespa Monster

Yesterday I bought my first actual Vespa. 1978 P125X with a DR189 kit to make it zippy. It's color scheme is horrendous. The clutch is cranky. And I still haven't figured out how to ride it. But when I do, oh when I do, it will be a glorious day. So far I've managed to kick start it and stall it a dozen times. It's so much more difficult than the twist-n-go scoots. But it will be rewarding in the end. Now I'm ready to join a scooter gang.

And yes, I intend to remedy that paint job eventually.

New Years Eve

For New Years Eve, Alexey and I decided to do something big to make up for previous years of hanging out and watching the ball drop or being sick. So we got tickets to the party at Club Montemartre in Hollywood. It was wild and crazy with over-priced Hollywood drinks and more than capacity of people bumping and grinding on the dance floor. It was quite the experience. Sorry to report, Lindsey Lohan was not there.
